Climate Change Challenge

Open for entries NOW!

Entries are now open for a challenge to create short videos or PowerPoint presentations aimed at primary school pupils in Scotland. Focussing on the issues of sustainability and climate change they should also promote the role of chemistry in driving the solutions to climate change as well as promote chemistry as a science and as a career for primary school aged children.

The three winners of the Challenge (judged by a panel of primary schools) will each receive £1000 and their entries showcased during RSC Chemistry Week which coincides with COP26. And all submissions deemed to be excellent by our judging schools will be made available as Climate Change Science and Sustainability teaching resources to all Scottish Schools. The resources will also be promoted through ScotCHEM’s YouTube Channel.

The challenge is open to researchers within ScotCHEM member departments, at any career level (PhD to Professor).
